Spiritual Monopoly

There many religions that claim that they are the only true connection to the source.  They believe that if you do not follow them then you are not going to get into heaven or be one of the chosen people.   This is a fear-based way of looking at the situation.  God is not like an intimidating figure as is perceived by most people, God is a like a friend who helps you in every situation.  Nor religion or group has a spiritual monopoly on God.   So any religion which encourages you to meditate and be good in your actions is a way to God. The final destination is the same and all the religions are just different roads you could take to reach there.
So, instead of worrying about going to heaven and hell if you do not follow something, lead a life of truth, compassion, contentment, humility and love and you will reach your destination, no matter what you follow.
